An effective instant messaging system for LANs.
Many users know the command Net Send, present in Windows NT systems and later, but the majority conform with using it from the console or command line. Now you can change this tendency using this program, Messenger. As you will have probably started to work out by now just from that short introduction, Messenger is nothing more than a graphic interface to be able to use the Net Send command visually.
This way, the basic function of Messenger is to send messages via the command Net Send. All the network drives that are detected are accessible and visible on a list. To send a message to any of them, just click on the one you choose. In summary, if you move about a LAN you will get much more out of it with Messenger.
This Messenger program is very easy to download, install and then use, through its friendly and intuitive user interface. You don't need any technical experience at all to get the most out of it.
So there you have it. If you want to get more out of your LAN and the Net Send command, then you need a program like this Messenger. And best of all is that you can download it for free! What are you waiting for?
NOTE: The Messenger Service was disabled in Windows XP Service Pack 2 and then discontinued in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 and replaced by the old MSG.exe.
